Cattle
Cattle can contract Brucellosis from contact with Brucella abortus an aborted fetus, that was aborted as a result of brucellosis. It may also be sexually transmitted.
Dogs
Dogs can contract Brucellosis from contact with Brucella canis. This usually occurs from breeding or contact with fetuses aborted due to Brucellosis.
Us
Brucellosis is often passed to humans by consumption of unpasteurized milk or other dairy products produced by infected livestock. Although rare, it has been transmitted by accidental injection of a vaccine designed to vaccinate livestock from Brucellosis.
